Andy Murray and his unbeaten run

If you discount Grand Slams and Masters, Andy Murray is currently on a 31 match winning streak (500's and 250's) with his last loss againt Lu in the Olympics 2008, is this the longest streak of 250's and 500's or where does he rank to others? It's a truely remarkable stat and i guess it goes to show he is king of the MM

Very interesting. How about if we discount that he plays tennis?

He's done well at ATP 1000 level too to be fair and been consistent at GS level of late.

Reminds me of Lendl's early career.

Re: Andy Murray and his unbeaten run

makes sense in the smaller events he can avoid all the very best players. In the masters and slams, he'll usually have to beat 2-3 top players to win a title. So far, that's been too much to ask of him on a consistent basis he has even more trouble in slams

so far he has won 4 masters-2 each in '08 and '09.

That is indeed a great run he is on, although I think he gave Gasquet a walkover last year in Dubai but that doesn't count .
