Relativity in interpreting draws...

A forthnight ago had someone came here and tell us that Roger will win it by defeating, in succession - Andreev, Hanescu, Montanes, Hewitt, Davydenko, Tsonga , Murray - I think the majority have said it is quite a tough draw...

Now, after the war is over, many of us, esp. the haters, incline to say it was too easy of a draw, with chokers left and right and a lucky game for Roger...

How is it, really ?

What kind of a draw was it DownUnder for Roger in 2010 ?

Q. Do you think you would have been able to play as well as you played today, or you think you would have pulled out from the game if it wasn't the Masters Cup final?

ROGER FEDERER: No, Roger Federer doesn't pull out. Otherwise he doesn't walk on court (smiling).

Re: Relativity in interpreting draws...

Davydenko and Murray are the two toughest players to face right now.

Actually his opponents were:
R1: russian choker
R2: romanian loser
R3: clay courter
R4: injured legend
QF: the world-famous fixer
SF: french clown
F: scottish gs midget
Is it a hard draw?

Mardy Fish!

Brian Baker - Steve Johnson - Lleyton Hewitt - Carlos Berlocq - Tommy Haas - Ivo Karlovic - Richard Gasquet - Kevin Anderson - David Ferrer - Michael Russell - Fabio Fognini - Dustin Brown - Somdev Devvarman

Hewitt and Andreev fall into the "not as good as they used to be" catagory.
Murray and Davydenko fallinto the "Grand Slam choker" catagory.
Tsonga was just plain lucky.

Overall - Not the easiest draw he's ever had, but by no means the toughest.

Uhm, let me see...
Nadal, Nadal, Nadal, Nadal, Nadal, Djokovic, & DelPotro, in that particular order of appearance?
(just kidding, of course. I have indeed read the thread title. )

until now you're all proving my point...
