AO R1: Illya Marchenko(UKR) d. Carlos Moya(ESP) 7-6(2) 7-5 6-3

Was court side the entire match. Moya served for the first set at 5-3 and served for the second at 5-4. Marchenko, 22, impressed in his first Grand Slam main draw but runs into white-hot Davydenko in round two.

Ah well, pretty good match for Carlos again I think. He is getting there, just needs a bit more matches.

I was courtside too ... pretty disappointing to see Carlos up 5-3, etc and then let the rookie in to the match. Just wondering 'what if?' had Carlos won that first tie-breaker (he should've won it BEFORE it got to TB stage!!) Am thinking the age difference is showing more than the 'out of practice' excuse. But Davydenko will demolish the new kid next round!
