AO R1: L Hewitt d R Hocevar 6-1 6-2 6-3

Very impressive first set from Hewitt, looking to attack every ball. Dropped his level a touch after getting the early break in the second, but still moved well and it was a comfortable and encouraging performance all together. Will face the winner of Rochus - Young and if he wins that will most likely face Baghdatis or Ferrer, where you would imagine he would get a sterner test.

Re: AO R1: L Hewitt d R Hocevar 6-1 6-2 6-3

imo this game showed nothing about Hewitt's condition. Hocevar has no weapons as a player, he's just a challenger claycourter, with a bit strong serve, which by the way didnt work well vs Hewitt. The Brazilian could do nothing on the court, I felt he was praying the match to end

From what I saw, Hewitt was pretty much amazing

Nerves aside, Hocevar did what he could. Good experience for him.
