Comfortable win for Andy. Actually surprised and happy that a large majority of his shots were hit with length and weren't mid-court shit balls begging to be punished. Although he was never broken, the serve was quite tame today but I am hardly worried about that. Court positioning while hitting his volleys, however, was really bad.
He should easily cruise to the quarters where he drew the best top 4 seed in Del Potro.
de Bakker, on the other hand, I failed to see where all this hype is about. I saw a handful of great powerful winners, but for the most part an average at best player. He has the power but simply fails with execution therefore making it a mute point in regards to how hard he can hit the ball. I did, however, enjoy the occasional variety in his game and glad he doesn't always try to hit the cover off the ball. I'd be shocked if he cracks the top 30.
