Sydney SF - Gasquet def. Benneteau 6:4 7:5

Another very nice comeback set, looking very solid, apart from serve, of course

A milquetoast affair. No emotion from either players. Gasquet looked disinterested until the last games of each set. Hope he plays with more intensity in the final, and wins it with style .

If at first you don't succeed, lower your standards.

Sydney SF: Gasquet d. Benneteau 6:4 7:5

Not a particularily interesting match, but Gasquet went through to the final.
The last point was kinda funny.

2 sets again, which is good. Hope Richard does not get too tired after the final cause he will play Youzhny, and probably on Monday.

I dare to disagree. An average first set from Richard, even flatter in the second. However, he turned it on when he was three set points down, from then all blockages removed, and he showed that he can do more on tennis court than withdrawing 4 meters behind the baseline and hit stunning BHs from there. A bit lucky on MP, but I don't think it would have changed the outcome.

Moaning finished. Great to see him in the final and hoping it will be against Marcos.

Really strange attitude from Gasquet, especially in the second set. Don't think I've ever seen him like that.
