Tomic OUTGUNS G. Simon 6-0 6-7 10-6

Tomic with 3 straight wins in the Adelaide exho:

Quote:
Bernard Tomic's Australian Open tune-up has been, to borrow from Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way.

Tomic completed a hat-trick of wins in the World Tennis Challenge at Memorial Drive by blitzing Frenchman Gilles Simon early then battling through to claim another top 20 scalp on closing night, 6-0 6-7 (4-7) then 10-6 in the super tiebreak.
"It's been a fun three days and I'm really grateful I got the opportunity to play here ... I've learned something going into the Open," Tomic said post-match.

Following wins over Robby Ginepri and Radek Stepanek, Tomic made it three from three by racing out of the blocks to defeat a proppy-looking Simon, the world No.15, in little more than an hour.

Tomic was the only one giving his all, the rest was merely training.

Great for tennis....bad for pusher-lovers.

Re: Tomic OUTGUNS G. Simon 6-0 6-7 10-6

I didn't see this Simon match, but Stepanek was definitely not being serious in his match against Tomic. He was doing all sorts of jokes, such as standing in the doubles alley a few times to try different serves, hitting lots of trick shots, playing ice hockey with the tennis ball, and in the match tie break when serving he threw about 5 balls up and only hit one (Tomic was so surprised he did not attempt to return and it was an ace ).

Two hopes: 1. Gilles is healthy 2. Tomic loses first round you know where.
