Cilic wins Chennai defeating Wawrinka 7-6(2) 7-6(3)!

Not the best match but win is win.
Anyways good preparation for Melbourne.
Cilic had many opportunities to win second set a lot easier but no consistency whatsoever in his game.
Stanislas seemed a little bit pathetic with loudly celebrating Marin's errors.

not his best. a bit of a letdown after the tipsarevic match. oh well, he won the title and that's what matters. hopefully he can now get ready for AO

my favorite was the worst number 3 player in the world

Congratulation Marin. I hope this victory would help him to reach the final jump to the top ten on the following months.

Definitely not the best match but he defended his points and will only need one more 250 event. Go Marin!

Stan is hopeless in tiebreaks...played both of them very poorly also he had 2 set points in the first set on Cilic's serve at 6-5

horrible linecalls in this match

Stan just couldn't help himself, he barely managed to stay in the match most of the match

It takes some doing to lose two to a notorious tiebreak choker like Cilic.

Nothing special from Marin this week... he would be far from title in Brisbane or Doha

Good for Marin to defend those points, hopefully he will do well in Aus.

Yeah

By my counting, Chillych now 'improves' to 52-61 - a rather pathetic ratio for someone who has all the tools to have a much better one.

Three title matches this week and each had a least one tiebreaker. There were 5 tiebreakers in the deciders in total!
