With the first set aggressiveness against Davydenko, who Rafa can't beat at AO 2010?

I think that, this loss may be good for Rafa to see his missing parts mentally and physically. The question is for Rafa's bad matchup players and other top players of the world?. What are your thoughts?

Re: With the first set aggressiveness against Davydenko, who Rafa can't beat at AO 20

Yeah yeah... Denko played like shit anyway in the first set so it's not like Nadal becomes unbeatable if he plays aggressive tennis. In the second set Denko just responded better to the aggressiveness and that made moonballer lose the good length of his shots, leading to his defeat.

I think the one he absolutely must avoid at all costs, is Pony. He's the ultimate matchup nightmare for him on hard court, one could argue even on clay. Other than Pony, i can see him beat anybody on those hard courts with that kind of play. He's in great shape.

Ah, you added a poll. Well, if Nadal faces a good server that can also follow up on his serves, then Nadal's aggressiveness will count for nothing (in the games when he is receiving, that is). That means many on your list can beat him. So I can't vote.

Re: With the first set aggressiveness against Davydenko, who Rafa can't beat at AO 20

About Nadal:

Del Potro (if he is on), Djokovic or Kolya could beat him. I don't think the rest stand much of a chance, tbh. Maybe if Fed and Soderling step up they could but I'd hold them in a second level of dangerous opponents for Rafa in the AO.

About Davidenko:

Don't get ahead of ourselves. Kolya has never been a strong contender at Slams. He has reached some semis in the past but considering his high ranking and consistency, he should have achieved more. At least a final, imo.

Anyhow, he should make a semi this time. It would be great if he could achieve more but I wouldn't count on it.

Also, do not think that Kolya is playing the tennis of his life right now. He always was a great player. Not for nothing he got to be number 3 in 2006.

Nadull needs massive amounts of luck to beat Davy, Djokovic, Soderling and Del Potro. Fortunately for him ATP will probably contrive to draw him against Spaniards throughout the whole tournament culminating in an epic Almugro-Nadull final after a series of freak injuries to Almugro's opponents.

There is no "all of them"-option either so I guess it's fair.

Re: With the first set aggressiveness against Davydenko, who Rafa can't beat at AO 20

Rafa was great in 1st set but Davy was poor, Davy's level vastly improved in the 2nd and 3rd, and Rafa level only very slightly dropped he was still playing out of his skin, yet Davy still won.

I think he can beat everyone when he is on top top form, but he cant maintain that for 5 sets, I think he has lost a litlle bit of lockeroom respect, more players go out there beliveng they can beat Rafa now then they did 12 months ago. He can lose to Pony, Davy, Soda, Djoker. Dunno bout Murray and Fed atm.

Go Andy!

So very very proud to be a fan of Mr Andy Murray Wimbledon Champion 2013

Double Grand slam champion. Olympic Gold Medalist. Holder of 9 Masters 1000 events # legend

First point, Nadal serves a slow 2nd serve in the middle of the court, Davy hits a inside-out BH 2m into the tramsline, 0-1 40-30, he double faults, 0-3 40-15 double faults again. I thing his 1st serve porcentage was 40%. He stood way back behind the service line allowing Nadal to come all over him. I don't understand what was wrong with his attitude. It was as if he was on a training match practicing his defence.
On the other hand Nadal played some good agressive shots. Answering your question with this kind of form Nadal won't lose a set before the QF at the Oz open. But that's about it.

Roger Federer | Benoît Paire| Stanislas Wawrinka | Nick Kyrgios

federer now looks like an easybeat compared to rafa, davydenko and even murray's form(even though lost to robredo, his other sets were dominating and very high level)

we are yet to see djoko and del potro's levels..

federer serve pish, backhand pish

Nadal can beat everybody except Del Potro.
