Roddick in 2 tight sets. Richard's serve has been bad this week. Can't see him not dropping serve and can't see Roddick losing serve.

Gasquet has done well to get this far, but it ends now.

Re: WWW Brisbane QF: [1]Roddick vs. Gasquet

Gasquet is still in that "I'm the underdog" mode. Always thinking that he's up against someone who's better than him and if he plays someone who's the underdog he still finds a way to make it seem like they are the favorite because they have nothing to lose against him, which is what I said about his 2nd round opponent. I know that's his humble nature but it's time he got some killer instinct and start kicking some butts with his attitude! Instead of saying "nobody expects me to beat Roddick" how about saying something like "I beat him last time we played so I will use that to my mental advantage." Why not think that way instead of he's the favorite and all I can do is give it my all. Gasquet has always lacked that killer instinct that you see with the other top players.

Usually all that kind of psychological bullshit on MTF is baloney, but there might actually be some truth to this ^

Perhaps he is not that confident yet at the moment so he says those things. I have heard him being more bold with his statements. As far as talking about his second round opponent, he always calls his opponents "great players" and stuff like that.

Re: WWW Brisbane QF: [1]Roddick vs. Gasquet

I do like both players but I'd like if Richy take this. But Andy will win in two though.

Tsonga - Wawrinka - Del Potro - Gasquet - F.Lopez - Monfils - Haas - Janowicz - Youzhny - Tomic - Hewitt - Gulbis - Mahut - Haase - Schoorel - Sijsling - Huta Galung - De Bakker - Van der Duim - Westerhof - Middelkoop - Koolhof - Lootsma - S&T. Griekspoor - Sels - Van Rijthoven

All time: Safin - Schalken - Krajicek - Sluiter - Verkerk - Henman - Ivanisevic - Nalbandian - Ferrero - Philippoussis - Sampras - Siemerink - Blake - F.Gonzalez - Ancic - Haarhuis/Eltingh

Still supporting all the Dutchies despite their great choking skills
Looking forward to the Dutch Futures and Challengers this summer!

Re: WWW Brisbane QF: [1]Roddick vs. Gasquet

It'd be nice for Gasquet but I don't think he's got this big a win in him quite yet. Still ... who knows?

I think it'll probably Roddick in 2, 64 75

Novak Djokovic
Fernando Verdasco Richard Gasquet
Janko Tipsarevic

Jurgen Melzer
Gilles Simon David Nalbandian
Mikhail Youzhny

Robin Soderling
Viktor Troicki Fernando Gonzalez
Nikolay Davydenko
