Post Valencia R1: Muzza def. Gimeno-Traverror 6-3 6-1

Good to see you back, champ

Lucky escape for Murray in the 1st set, though. Lots of bad errors from Gimeno helped him.
Anyway, a convincing win for Andy. Good luck in the 2nd round

Crappy first set from Murray. But expected given the long layoff. Second set was much better. Glad to have him back

Prize draw for him to draw Gimeno-Traver in the 1R. Not exactly an accomplished player off the dirt.

Re: Valencia R1: Muzza def. Gimeno-Traverror 6-3 6-1

Yeah, total loss of concentration by Murray once he got 4-0 up, had to save a bp that would have made it 4-4. Once he did it was match over, he accelerated away and won 9 of the last 10 games.

Murray didn't look quite match fit either, was breathing a little more heavily than you'd expect from what was a pretty gentle workout.

Job done

He dosent loook great though, appears to have a back injury hopefully just a twinge and nothing more. He is playing with a bit more power which is good to see.

Go Andy!

So very very proud to be a fan of Mr Andy Murray Wimbledon Champion 2013

Double Grand slam champion. Olympic Gold Medalist. Holder of 9 Masters 1000 events # legend

Good to see a lack of the usual negativity surrounding Andy tonight!

Mercifully short thread for a short match.

But where are all the Murray-haters proclaiming how lucky he was? Don't tell me he actually won a match on merit for once!
