Shanghai R2 : Ljubicic def. Verdasco 6-4 7-6 (6)

Good for the game. Ljubo got broken for the first time serving for the match.

Beauty won over the Beast eventually.

Verdasco getting frustrated in the TB.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Tried his best to choke it away, but Verdasco wouldn't let him.

Awesome result for Legenda!
But a terrible match indeed.

Ljubo in his fifties will still be able to beat these choking mugs like Verdasco

I'm glad Ljubo won it but what an awful match. Every time Verdasco played decent he won the point

Horrendous from Verdasco. Well done Ljubo though.

Verdasco should go look at the draw now. No Fed. No Murray. DelPot and Roddick out.

Re: Shanghai R2 : Ljubicic def. Verdasco 6-4 7-6 (6)

Funny that it should be this way but the court playing so slow favoured Ljubicic in the end. Verdasco just couldn't shake off the Croat's heavy groudstrokes because his shots were slowing down so much off the ground.

Good for the game in terms of the race to the masters with Verdasco giving the others a slight oppurtunity to catch him if they can post big results.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

With so many top players either injured or defeated it is a great chance for the chasing pack to pick up a big title. Also good oppurtunity for Djokovic or Nadal to get back to winning ways at masters events. I think it would be quite funny (and is quite possible) for Nadal to win this after the defeat hype last week.
