TBH this version of Youzhny is Top 20 quality....but the dude just isn't consistent enough.

Lol, no doubt. Dude was consistently hitting pretty nice angles crosscourt with the forehand. I even saw him run away from a forehand so he could slice a backhand(I LOLed at that, who does that?). Nice dropshots at smart moments, knocking the backhand down the line when he needed to.

There is nothing that suggests to me that Simon is a smarter player than Youzhny...except maybe the fact that he hasn't banged his tennis racket on his head.

Simon saved two matchpoints serving at 4/5 in the second, another one at 5/6 and two more at 3/5 in the third. Good on Youzhny to finish it on his first matchpoint on serve with an ace.
