Murray out of Shanghai

Due to medical advice Andy will not be travelling to China. He has decided to give his wrist extra time to recover and is likely to return for the Valencia Open.

Re: Murray out of Shanghai

So basically, out of the top 3, Nadal currently seems to be the healthiest. Who would have thought that a month ago?

Proud fan of Olderer, the GOAT.

Wow!! Djokovic could regain his #3 position.
And Nadal could start to breathe more easily now.

Re: Murray out of Shanghai

Disappointing but no surprise. Almost certain now to drop to #4 before the end of the year. I just hope he can avoid dropping to #5, but it could be out of his hands (no pun intended)

he should lose number 3 but can still regain it later, that's very possible (Djokovic will lose his points from Masters Cup last year for instance)

Re: Murray out of Shanghai

Ugly timing for him - couldn't defend points at the US Open final, or his Madrid win. Missing Tokyo also is unfortunate, he would have liked the fast courts there.
