Grigor was 4-0 in 1st set and had a set ball at 5-1...nice choke

Dimitrov has a LONG way to go. I'd rather he be playing challengers then qualify for US Open. I think Lundgren is doing a piss-poor job with this guy.

However if he qualify's then it could be a master stroke of genius if he then draws someone like pashanski in the first round and wins.

Utter bulshit if he´s so good he should qualify. Bellucci is not that good at hard courts. And he needs to feel and understand New York if he wants to win there in 3-4 years.

HELLAS TT TEAM

I dont deserve to play for them

Dimitrov is a good player, but still has a long way to go, he ain't pushing any real top 100 player right now and has the tendency of choking matches when he has the lead

by his age, most of the top guns of today were top 100 at least

I just hope he doesn't end up as another Gasquet: tons of talent but no tangible results

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Exactly. He's not even living up to the Djokovic/Murray standard both were top 100 by his age. He's barely cracked the top 300.

Re: USO Q1 Grigor Dimitrov def. T.Kamke 6-3 7-5

These things are different for each player. Gonzalez wasn't top 100 until he was 21, for example. Nalbandian was lower ranked than Dimitrov is now at the same age.

Yes because beating Pashanski at a US Open will boost his confidence

Good result for Dimitrov I guess, he's either going to have a decent tournament or he's going to lose in the qualies...just based on his results this year.

And Gonzalez was a bit of a late bloomer...I mean he was always a pretty solid player but it took him a long time to become a top 10 player and a danger to the top players
