Cincinnati R1: D. Ferrer beats S. Wawrinka 7-5, 6-2

After retiring a week ago against Nadal rather impressive to recover sufficiently in a week to beat Wawrinka who pushed Federer last week.

The magic water did the trick.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

His knee looked bad against Nadal. Give this guy an Oscar right now, Al Pacino who is Al Pacino? .

Ferrer was probably my second favourite active Spaniard on the tour behind Ferrero, but it's pathetic the way he rolled over for Nadull a couple of days ago. Pathetic.

Re: Cincinnati R1: D. Ferrer beats S. Wawrinka 7-5, 6-2

Hmmm...Ferru is one of my favourite players, but I will reserve judgment about last week's 'situation.'

Was always going to be tough for Stan if Ferrer could play without bounds. Disappointing result, but the Man deserves credit for fighting to stave off all those break points. Probably would have been a dreadful scoreline had he not...
