the SF GS streak won't be broken any time soon if ever
about the GS record, same was said about Sampras and Roger broke it barely 7 years later, so everything is possible

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Huh, that was merely a Doubles title, no? I wouldn't call that a Golden GS, to be honest.

As for the original question: ANYTHING can happen. Nobody expected Pete's GS record to be beaten in a mere seven years, so who knows.

....
if FED manages to finish with 18, 19, 20 majors~~ nobody else will ever come close to passing him!! ***however, if he stays stuck on 15 [unlikely], then its possible his record could be broken within 20 years..

I agree with this. Federer has the chance to set a truly unbreakable record. Already I think the streak of 10 GS finals and 21 GS semifinals is very close to unbreakable.

Proud fan of Olderer, the GOAT.

Re: Will anyone else break Fed's record in next 10 years?

It’s possible some of Fed’s records will be broken in another era, but he has so many that I think it’s close to improbable that ALL of them will be broken. The most underrated of which and most difficult to surpass is the 21 consecutive GS semi-finals, that is still on-going.

Yup. I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up with at least 19 at the end of his career. As long as he continues to be passionate about the game there's no reason he shouldn't end up with at least 19 or 20, and another disconcerting thing for the opposition is that he still has time and youth on his side.
