Stuttgart R2: Chardy def. MVA 2-6 6-3 6-1

Jeremy in the first

Couldn't get a stream. Did anyone see anything?

Jeremy anyway. GL against (most likely) Simon in the next round.

My stream was messed up big time. Could only see the 2nd game of the 3rd set, so I'm not sure that's much help.

Beat Simon now! It's doable.

Atrocious, woeful match. Chardy looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there, and was godawful in the first set. MVA had nothing to offer, other than hope Chardy errored a lot (which he was). Then there was some silly argument, Chardy got motivated, and ran away with it.

Pretty typical of all that's wrong with better players' motivation at atp250 level really.

What was the never-ending argument about? I thought MVA was never going to calm down.
Chardy looked OK in the 3rd set, but he was lucky he played MVA and got away with such a performance in the first 2 sets indeed, it was not pretty.
