Soderling is about 100 times better.

Re: Who will have the better career?

Soderling, he has made a slam final so far and doubt Verdasco ever will.

Anyone with a brain would say Soderling

In May we had the Verdasco is the Future thread. Of course consider the source, but some were agreeing.

Reed: Verdasco is the future

I think Verdasco in the long run. Never know though. Im not completely convinced on Soderling. Ill probably be wrong, but we'll see.

Re: Who will have the better career?

For Verdasco to be better than Soderling he'd need to reach a slam final, never happening. I doubt he will even reach another semi.

Re: Who will have the better career?

Soderling has already a GS final. Verdasco blew his chance with that haunting double fault.

Re: Who will have the better career?

He blew it before the double fault, he lost his legs, he was knackered.

Re: Who will have the better career?

Verdasco will probably be more consistently solid....but Soderling is a more dangerous player IMO.

True, but he was still so close to winning that match. It's always devastating to lose on a DF.

Re: Who will have the better career?

Until Verdasco makes a GS final Soderling will always be better than him.

2 and 3 titles respectively is kind of really bad, though. They both should have more than that. Same could be said of Gasquet - but that's not the topic of this thread.

They should, I totally agree. But neither could put it together for 3 or 4 matches in a row and it frustrated me so much I think Soderling will end up with the better career though.

I'll wait until next year though to decide because we'll have to see how they back up their breakthrough seasons
