"Hail Murray? 100 years from Fred Perry's birth, Britain's number 1 is ready to rule"

I'm not sure all this hyping will help his cause- the British media are at it again. I do feel sorry for the guy having to cope with all that.

Is he ready to rule? Thoughts please.

The saddest thing about media hype is that they'll keep on doing so because apparently, people still read that kind of ...

"It's getting colder, I'm getting colder, older, it's getting colder...

Am I still here? As one, with The Fear?
Am I still alive? I'm still f*cking ... Here...!"

Henman had to tolerate it to extreme levels, now the torch has truly passed.

It sucks though. Just goes on to show the state of British tennis- they have only one guy to hang onto as the 2nd best is nowhere near the top 100. I do feel that had Henman not had the expectations of a whole country on his shoulders he would have won Wimbledon at least once.

The media hype on Murray is going to be off the charts the next 2-3 weeks.

Well, Henman would have probably won Wimbledon in 01 if it hadn't rained, he would have certainly beaten Ivanisevic.

That picture is ridiculous. Do the British press fashion him as Julius Caeser?

The bandwagon has just broken the speed limit. It's well and truly underway. Give it another 6 days and the sound barrier will be next.

"Federer and Nadal have made up the final for the past three years running," said Murray at the launch of his own newly-designed, monogrammed Fred Perry outfit, which he will wear at the tournament this year.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).
