Anyway....not much interesting to report from Queens today, I was mainly on Centre Court.
- Querrey and Blake are clearly good friends, match played in probably the best spirit I've seen in a long time. Lots of "great shots", trusting each other over line calls etc. Nice to see. Blake should've won in straight sets but fell asleep when he almost went a double break up in the 2nd. Sammy Q should be better than he is on grass, doesn't really move well enough though. Also, was it just the shirt he was wearing or is Blake a bit chunky at the moment?
- Muzza played his now regular game of tennis football to start off his training session, with the losers doing some sort of forfeit. Looked very relaxed considering the tournament is his to lose. Solid performance today, it was comfortable. GGL played better than I expected, though the result was never in question. Served extremely well which was pleasing. My only criticism is that I'd like him to go to the net a bit more.
- Roddick vs. Hewitt was a decent match, if lacking somewhat in break opportunities. Hewitt didn't really return Roddick's serve as well as he has in the past. Roddick returned like absolute shit, far too many useless blocked returns. He'll get eaten alive by a good player at Wimbledon if he keeps that up. Other than the returns, he was reasonably good. Bit of controversy in the tie break, as I see Mikey has already latched on to
- Oh, and thanks to the Queens organisers for not telling the crowd what the hell was going on at the start of Roddick vs. Hewitt. They warmed up, and then all of a sudden they sat down for 15 minutes. No-one had a clue what was going on.
Personal highlight of the day ---> Tie between seeing The Gooch and getting a photo with commentator GOAT Mark Petchey
Clown of the day ---> The elderly British guy who was confused as to why Murray was celebrating victory when he'd only won 2 sets....."do they not play best of 5 anymore?" :retard:
Snorefest of the day ---> Practice session between Gil and Schwank. I quite like both of them, but it was one of the worst displays of hitting I've ever seen. Schwank couldn't keep the ball in the court for more than 2 shots.
Point of the day ---> Blake and Querrey had an awesome rally, which Blake ended up winning after a quality hot dog lob.
