Thumbs down Roddick beats Hewitt at Queens 7-6 7-6

cheating Roddick

he, so clearly, left a Hewitt volley that ended up catching the line - so point was Hewitt's

and when Hawkeye showed it he fabricated that he "was there" and somehow deserved a replayed point.. which ump fell for

unbelievable behaviour

Re: Roddick cheats in tie break at Queens

Shame on Gerry Armstrong for changing his call after Roddick complained.

Pension off Gerry Armstrong, he is just like his football team Spurs, living off past glories.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

And the umpire was... wait for it...

Gerry Armstrong!

The most useless and incompetent chair umpire in a long, long time.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

Re: Roddick cheats in tie break at Queens

Andy didn't cheat. It was a mistake by Armstong.

Tsonga - Wawrinka - Del Potro - Gasquet - F.Lopez - Monfils - Haas - Janowicz - Youzhny - Tomic - Hewitt - Gulbis - Mahut - Haase - Schoorel - Sijsling - Huta Galung - De Bakker - Van der Duim - Westerhof - Middelkoop - Koolhof - Lootsma - S&T. Griekspoor - Sels - Van Rijthoven

All time: Safin - Schalken - Krajicek - Sluiter - Verkerk - Henman - Ivanisevic - Nalbandian - Ferrero - Philippoussis - Sampras - Siemerink - Blake - F.Gonzalez - Ancic - Haarhuis/Eltingh

Still supporting all the Dutchies despite their great choking skills
Looking forward to the Dutch Futures and Challengers this summer!

He didn't really cheat, Armstrong was just being himself and rolled over.

Still, Roddick must have known he let that ball go and should have lost the point, yet he tried to get it replayed anyway. It's not the first time I've seen him do this, but I think it's the first time he's gotten away with it.

Re: Roddick cheats in tie break at Queens

So Hawkeye decisions can be overturned now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

What goes around comes around.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Roddick get screwed over by a line call before the end of this match or the tournament.

Re: Roddick cheats in tie break at Queens

he knew he left that volley and should have given up the point ... the out call and hawkeye shouldnt have played any part in it, but he abused it and was being a jerk .. acting innocent & sincere

Murray would never stoop to this!

No (even if bet365's commentator didn't know), but the decision to replay the point or award it to the player is still the umpire's to take.
