Queens R3 Fish fries LaLo 6-1 6-4

What a great match for Mardy
Mardy has lost only 4 points on serve in the whole match.
81% 1st serve for him
Simply no chance for Lopez
Murray must be scared now.

Mardy Fish!

Brian Baker - Steve Johnson - Lleyton Hewitt - Carlos Berlocq - Tommy Haas - Ivo Karlovic - Richard Gasquet - Kevin Anderson - David Ferrer - Michael Russell - Fabio Fognini - Dustin Brown - Somdev Devvarman

Re: Queens R3 Fish fries LaLo 6-1 6-4

Felicity opened and ended the first set with doubles, and only won 2/11 points on 2nd serve. Upped the service numbers to make it respectable in the 2nd set, but then chucked his serve at 4-5.

He's pretty embarrassing in 250s sometimes.

The Fish jokes never get old.

Mardy has been have a really patchy season so far. But I guess that's the norm for him right? Patchy sets...Patchy matches...Patchy Tournaments...Patchy Years.

Amazing stuff from Pescado

Hmm.. why so? Lopez is quite good on grass. The convincing win is a surprise there, not the even odds, IMO.

Re: Queens R3 Fish fries LaLo 6-1 6-4

Mardy rarely ever serves at 60% so him serving at 81% is really amazing. Of course one gets a lot of confidence serving against FLo since he has such a hard time winning points on return games--second serves against him aren't all that rattling so a player can really go for it on the 1st with full confidence.

Yea, I agree. No win for Fish is ever really expected.

Market said slightly under 50%, and it's very rarely far wrong.

Aside from anything else, Lopez had beaten him in their previous two matches, both straight sets, and has a better grass court record.

he played really badly against both Kendrick and Istomin which arent exactly difficult opponents whereas Fish beat Llodra, who is an excellent grass court player
