Murray def. Seppi 6-1, 6-4

Decent performance overall. Made Seppi look silly in the first set.

He really should win Queens, considering the field.

Re: Murray def. Seppi 6-1, 6-4

First set was good from Murray, though Seppi was rubbish. In the second set, Seppi became more solid, and dealt with Murray's consistent depth and decent slice by pulling Murray across the court. I think Murray's level was more or less the same in the second set until the end. As solid as his first set was he still showed passive tendencies in the way he won it and so Seppi eventually got his act together. Murray started pulling the trigger a little more though towards the end of the second and Seppi was hitting a few more errors.

Solid start by Murray, who can slowly but surely play a little closer to the lines and look to be slightly more aggressive. He turned down some good opportunities to come to the net (which the highly irritating Pat Cash kept reiterating), and that was clear to see.
