Underhand serve against Nadal ?

Why does nobody try to mix some underhand serves with normal first/second serves against Nadal. He's so far behind his baseline it's ridiculous. They would keep him honest once in a while, that's a sure bet. Is it because of étiquette ? You don't do that when you're pro ? Discuss !

"I asked a bloke in the front row if he liked the serve-and-volley stuff," said Rafter. "He said he did but asked if he was going to get to see any rallies. 'Not today, mate,' I told him."

Re: Underhand serve against Nadal ?

It doesn't make sense because the match is long and how many points Nadal's opponent can gain this way, 3-4? If someone used this tactics often, obviously Nadal would stay in the court before the return

stroke <- point <- game <- set <- MATCH -> round -> tournament -> season -> career

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

What about Chang ?

Re: Underhand serve against Nadal ?

So what you're trying to say is, you're a huge Hewitt fan.

If I lose the first set, the match will be complicate, no?

My favorite Federer and Nadal quotes following their 2008 Wimbledon final:

“But right now, it’s not much of a how do you say? a feel-good thing.”
-Roger Federer
"In the last game, I didn't see nothing. The true, I wasn't see nothing, no?"
-Rafael Nadal
