Not really, his serve was nowhere in Rome last year and he kept doing suicidal net rushes yet somehow won.

Re: Roddick vs. Robredo

The H2H is 10-0 to Andy I believe, so he has the huge mental advantage, and if he serves well, then it's goodbye Tommy.

Re: Roddick vs. Robredo

Robredo is to Roddick what Roddick is to Federer. Robredo cant beat Roddick even if he is serving all the time, Robredo is the only player in the atptour I would be happy if he announced his retirement, he is a waste and defeats everybody ranked lower than him with his (real) moonballs while losing in straights to anyone who is ranked above him.

You're obviously looking for the "Roddick is all-serve" crowd to jump in and say that Robredo would crush Roddick without his serve. But honestly that probably isn't the case. If Roddick were "all-serve", he'd be worse than Karlovic, seeing as how Karlovic has a better serve. Roddick has legit grinding abilities and occasionally even plays decent offensive tennis.

He'd mess Robredo up even if he had a peg leg and were missing an eyeball.
