Wow, he has chance to break Borg's record this year. It will be 41 if he doesn't drop a set before the final.

Re: RECORD for consecutive sets won at any Slam in the Open Era (Nadal getting close)

if he does break this record (i hope he does), then he will have most consecutive sets won at the french and most consecutive matches won at the french, and if he can manage to win the title then he will have most consecutive titles won at the french.
so he will have the record for most consecutive sets, matches and titles at the french open, that is what u call owning a tournament.
hopefully he can improve his poor form in the 1st couple of rounds and step it up a gear and not rest on his past achievements.

What's scaring me is that Roddick has not lost a set in this tournament and has not had his serve broken.

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS

If.. only....

This is would be amazing.. It would be amazing for me if A-rod somehow managed to beat Rogelio. That would have to happen in order to A-rod to make it into the final, right?

As far as records, I read that Chris Everet actually holds the record for the most sets at RG?? Or maybe it was the most matches??

actually evert has the most consecutive wins at the french of 29 before nadal broke it few days ago, nadal has 32 consecutive wins as of now. i think henin has the most consecutive sets won by a woman at the french she won 2006 and 2007 i think without losing a set, but since they only need 14 sets to win, its nowhere near a record at the french. back in evert's day, u only had to win 6 matches in the womens. borg has the most consecutive sets won at the french men or women of 41, and nadal has most consecutive wins at the french mens or womens of 32 and both nadal and borg have most consecutive titles won at the french mens or womens of 4 in a row.
