RG Round 1: Gicquel def Schuettler 60 60 64

Gicquel was great on return all along the match. Lost a bit his focus after an early break in the third. Schuettler was pathetic...

4 bagels in three matches. Is this some sort of record?

Re: RG Round 1: Gicquel def Schuettler 60 60 64

Gicquel was really, really good the first two sets. Only 6 UEs, lots of depth, corners etc.

Third set was funny. Schuettler was already a break down, and finally held - cue huge cheers, big smiles from Schuettler, joke celebrations at his achievement. The next game, all the tension had magically gone, and he broke. It then became quite serious again, with Schuettler playing decent stuff, aware that with the momentum shift he could easily nick a break and serve out the set, and miraculously be right back in it.

Didn't happen, but was fun anyway :-)

No. Between double bagels Schuettler lost to Troicki 4-6 6-7 in the final WTC.

Molina was actually struggling to call the score when Schüttler won his first game.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

Do you all remember Schuettler was serving for a set against Nadal in the wimbledon semifinal?
