RG R1: Andreev def. Fognini 1-6 6-3 6-1 3-6 7-5

Well done Igor.

The 15 minute stoppage at 2-2 in the 5th set, while Igor was trying to find his contact lense.

Quite up and down match, the last set was the best one. Igor tried to serve it out at %-4, but failed to do so, handled it better 2nd time around.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Did he manage to find it?

Yet another 5-set match...seems like Massu has been running his own academy Wednesday-Sundays, training up other players in endurance skills.

No. Fognini had BP at 4:3 but Andreev was serving at 5:4.

Good outcome for this section of the draw. VA or Fognini = another day in the office for Del Potro. Andreev vs. Del Potro would be an interesting contest.

Fognini looks like some kind of guido.

I don't like Andreev. I know, I know. He at least has something distinctive about him, among the many robots on the tour. But he makes everything look so hard and constantly has mental gaps.

Not sure, he had the mirror out at the change of ends.

The Fog is a unique cat, he looks asleep, he has lazy footwork, yet he is quite fast across the court. He gave Andreev no pace at all initially and he was missing everything.

Fog got dropshotitis and Andreev was running them down easily. The crowd were having fun at the end.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

This was wild match to watch. I saw the 4th and 5th sets. Crazy stuff. Fognini fluctuates so rapidly. At some points it seemed that neither player wanted to win.

I left when he got the mirror out.

Fog has a natural talent to hit framed shots.

The Fog's mishits are quality, finds many lines with them. At the change of ends at 3-2 in the 5th. The Fog was getting a back massage and Andreev still trying to solve the lens problem.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".
