RG R1: Rufin def Schwank 6-3 6-1 6-3

Excellent performance from the #635th ranked wildcard. He hit quite a lot of winners and rewarding for being aggressive.

Schwank was awful, looks like he wants to be anywhere else but playing tennis

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Interesting result - I followed the match after realising Rufin's age and current ranking. Considering that he has hardly proven himself a 'world beater' in his so far short senior career this result shows a lot of promise.

Action-Jackson: Did you actually see the match? If so, how would you describe Rufin's playing style?

Re: RG R1: Rufin def Schwank 6-3 6-1 6-3

Yes, I saw most of the match, got a double handed backhand, plays aggressive tennis, but not a ballbasher per se, reasonable serve, not massive.

Melzer should take him comfortably, as Roitman is in worse form than Schwank.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Interesting that both Schwank and Bellucci are having letdown seasons on the main tour after being the main names of the challenger circuit this time last year.

First time i saw rufin and i am impressed. I heard he was quite a headcase and he could spread UE for games. It did not happen at all today.
He has a very good second serve which is unusual for a young player nut as Action Jackson said Schwank was awful.
Melzer doesn't have it already in da picket imo.

Funny, I just read the other day that some no nothing tennis writer picked Schwank to go far. Go figure!

I don't know Rufin but congrats to him

Schwank's form is awful lately. He'll lose quite a few ranking points after last year's performance
Hope he can get himself together again.

Schwank's winning percentage in ATP Tour main draws this year is 18%. That's among the worst. He just had two wins, both on clay.
