Who replaces Tursunov at RG?

He is still listed in MD, but I know its been confirmed he is out.
I dont honestly know how LL's work at RG, so could someone tell me if anyone knows?
And who would be next in line for Monfils?

Janko Tipsarevic|Marcos Baghdatis|Roger Federer|Robby Ginepri|Jesse Witten|Donald Young|Jack Sock|John Isner

Re: Who replaces Tursunov at RG?

The highest ranked player who lost in the final round of qualies.

Flavio Cipolla is first in line as a Lucky Loser, Thiago Alves is second.

Or did they change it where its the top 4 ranked and then they draw randomly? In that case, Montcourt and Cuevas are 3rd and 4th.

Re: Who replaces Tursunov at RG?

Ok thanks. Ill assume its that.
Montcourt is already in for Ancic. Does that change anything?

Re: Who replaces Tursunov at RG?

Ollie Rochus I guess would be the 4th player in the next pool should another player withdraw.

Re: Who replaces Tursunov at RG?

Yeah, he played doubles where Korolev retired and not Tursunov. So that Tursunov is definitely OUT, I wouldn't be so sure...

Re: Who replaces Tursunov at RG?

Tursunov still in the schedule so I guess if he pulls out from now, a LL will replace him directly on his spot.
Too bad for Montanes, I guess he very much wanted that spot.

The Grand Slam Committee has approved a new procedure, starting in Australia, for ordering the lucky losers. Procedure is as follows:

At the end of qualifying:

0, 1 or 2 lucky loser positions available
* The top 4 ranked losing players from the final round qualifying will be drawn at random for the top 4 positions

If Tursunov pulls out before the OOP is issued today

Then Montanes will replace Tursunov as Number 33 seed and LL would replace
Montanes

If a Top 16 seed pulled out

Then Wawrinka would move up to their place
Montanes would take Wawrinka's spot
LL would take Montanes' place

After Lunchtime Today

LL replaces any player directly and no seeds move
Im beginning to think Tursunov may not be out either. I had also read it on cbssports.com, but perhaps they were citing his coaches quote.
On the other hand, now I REALLY hope he withdraws!
Janko plays Montanes. I would LOVE to see a nice little Lucky Loser playing Janko instead.!
Thanks for the explanation

As it's written in this explanation, it's too late now for moving Montanes spot since the OOP is already posted.

Re: Who replaces Tursunov at RG?

Tursunov can play and then lose in the first round (although he might be accused of deliberately losing the game)...

he practiced hard all week long in Düsseldorf and his ankle wasn't even taped so I think he is ready to play in Paris.
