Madrid R3: Djokovic def Seppi 6-4 6-4

Poor from both, neither wanted to really be there, some heavy wind. The massive shade covering the court.

Seppi just doesn't have the serve to keep up with these guys, brave effort saving 5 match points.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Seppi is Mug.
Djoko was lesser mug than Seppi today.

Seppi is one of those guys that can keep up with the top 4 throughout the match but just can't convert anything, abysmal.

Seppi gets so little respect, but think of this: can you imagine playing these guys with only his serve to rely on?

I rather like him, he's unbelievably predictable :-)

They made 38 UEs each, winners 19-12 to Djoko. Pretty messy stuff considering the single digit count of Nadal's errors

Re: Madrid R3: Djokovic def Seppi 6-4 6-4

The court at the end of the 1st set was so dry, they were watering it and Djokovic's bag got wet.

Layhani played a blinder.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Good enough Nole.

The quarterfinal opponent whoever it may be should be winnable. Then you should have some well-deserved rest.

The best thing about this match was the final point: About 30 shots!

This match would have been more fun if Seppi could convert those BPs

Roger Federer. Legend.

Novak won first 14 points and from then on it looked like practice session for him more than anything else ...
