Kohlschreiber outlasts Cilic 6-1 6-7 7-6

No thread on this match yet?!

What a rollercoaster this was. Took almost three hours and both players messed up, but Kohli came out on top in the end. Great result!

Marin
I watch the scoreboard and I really appreciate how Marin fought back when he was down in 2nd set tb....and he was up a break in the 3rd set at the beginning.......poor Marin.......

Congratz Kohl

It's horrible that no one cares about this crazy match.

Sort of hoped this wouldn't happen. Anyway, Nadal next. Goodbye

Maybe that's exactly the reason why no one cares who wins this match

Yeah but some of us wanted a different outcome nevertheless. Gambling reasons

It's always good to see Cilic lose. But it would have been even better to see him anihilated by Nadal.

Almost copy of their match in Auckland 2008:

Auckland '08: Kohlschreiber def. Cilic 6-3 6-7(5) 6-4... Cilic led 2:0* (40-15) in the third
Madrid '09: Kohlschreiber def. Cilic 6-1 6-7(5) 7-6(2)... Cilic led 2:0* (40-30) in the third
