Madrid R2: Djokovic def Hernandez 6-3 6-3

Nole hit some good dropshots, both guys were average at best. The court surface is rubbish.

The King saved a mp, with a FH dropshot, Djokovic hits another dropshot, brings Oscar forward, then Nole lobs him and Oscar hits a FH crosscourt and Djokovic missed with the dropshot. That point was better than the whole match.

Djokovic gets another nice training match against Seppi next.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Shit match from the King and 'technically the most complete baseliner of today'.

IMO quite solid and promising from the #4. He was completely relaxed, taking it easy, at times even not serious, and he did not even needed to be. Oscar really tried and the scoreline is sort of close, but the real balance of the powers on court was different.

This court makes Viña del Mar look brilliant, only thing missing was the craters. The King was awful and when the dropshots are the highlight of the game as they were for Nole.

At the same time still better than the WTA.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Re: Madrid R2: Djokovic def Hernandez 6-3 6-3

djokovic is uncomfortable playing hernandez.

the king's affection for the net doesn't leave novak much to work with, in these early rounds when he should get some practise.
