He won't play DC until José Hinzpeter stops being president of the chilean Tennis Federation. Link to the news in spanish:

Congratulations. You've succesfully killed chilean tennis in a way so evident that a player with Gonzalez' characteristics can see it. I hope now you can finally walk trough the door and close it from outside.

Good speech. Now get the hell outta the chair. You've been a total failure.

You mean like Spain, Czech Republic or Croatia?

The chilean Tennis Federation is deeply sorry to hear the words of our player Fernando Gonzalez in his official website, and declares that the Federation has an open door policy when it comes to talk about any subject that it considers relevant.

Gonzalez has been a very important part of our chilean DC team; we respect and value the thing he has achieved for our country, and we hope he changes his mind, so we can count with his presence again in the team in future confrontations defending our colors.

Re: Fernando Gonzalez leaves chilean DC team

The Chilean Tennis Federation is sorry for what Gonzalez has published in his website and declares that the Federation is available to discuss any pertinent subject.

Fernando Gonzalez has been a very important member of our DC team; we respect and value what he has done for our country in sport and we expect him to rectify his actual position so, in this way, we can count with his presence in the DC team in future ties, defending the colours of Chile.

Brazil had a very similar boycott some years ago.

The Argentine players would love to get rid of Morea. Then there was Spain with that burro Muñoz.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Ivanisevic did this in the 90', decided he did not want to play under the president of the Croatian TA Rizvanbegovic...

Good for Fena, tough for Chile....

Re: Fernando Gonzalez leaves chilean DC team

Boycotts hardly lead to substantial changes anyway. The names may change but corruption will remain the same in most cases.

Basically Gonzalez is jumping off the ship before it sinks even lower.
