Re: 2009 NCAA Tennis National Championships

My picks:

All of the top 16 to make the Sweet 16 except Kentucky(lose to WF) and Florida (lose to Miami). The ACC will reign supreme in those matchups.

Sweet 16:
Virginia over FSU
Stanford over USC
Tennessee over Texas
Georgia over Illinois
Baylor over Wake forest
Ohio State over Alabama
UCLA over Miami
Ole Miss over Texas A&M

Elite 8:
Virginia over Stanford
Georgia over Tennessee (revenge from SEC tourney)
Ohio State over Baylor
Ole Miss over UCLA

Final 4:
Virginia over Georgia
Ohio State over Ole Miss

National Title:

Ohio State over Virginia

Paradorn Srichaphan
Kei Nishikori, Donald Young, Somdev Devvarman, Dustin Brown, Steve Johnson, Yannick Maden
Robert Farah, Clement Reix, Alexander Dolgopolov, Nathan Thompson

2003 final was Illinois 4-3 over Vandy, not 4-1. Very tight match.

Re: 2009 NCAA Tennis National Championships

I got some!

I think you are right with the Deacs making their 2nd sweet 16 appearance!! Another nice draw for them, although Northwestern in the first round wont be easy.

Top-seeded Cavs have an easy draw right to the quarters. 17-32 Minnesota should give 8 seed So. Cal a scare, perhaps an upset. I say in that quarter...

9 Stanford vs. 1 Virginia

I think Louisville will upset 13 Illinois, but the Dogs are too good in the tournament. 5 Tennessee and 12 Texas should be a very interesting matchup. I say the quarter goes...

4 Georgia vs. 12 Texas

I believe the Deacs will upset 11 Kentucky, but 6 Baylor will be too good (hopefully not). Ohio State (3) may look shaky against Alabama but they will face...

3 Ohio State vs. 6 Baylor

I think Florida will actually pound Miami and may have a good shot at UCLA. The Rebels should have it easy.

7 UCLA vs. 2 Mississippi

SF:

1 Virginia vs. 4 Georgia

3 Ohio State vs. 7 UCLA

Finals:

1 Virginia vs. 3 OSU

Winner:
Virginia

Goodness, anybody could take this one. I think Georgia and Texas match should be epic as well as Georgia and Virginia, the Dogs have a good chance of getting to the finals but I think UVA is too hungry to let it happen. I think UCLA's experience will pay off and they may beat Ohio State, but inconsistent OSU can be really good when everyone is on their game. Virginia- Ohio State matchup favors Viriginia, and that may be not as close as people think.

Why come into this thread just to shit on it?

4 of the top 5 aren't even American anyway.

Because he's a well educated 12 year old that had some valuable insight to add.

He's had a solid year. Top ten pretty much the whole season. All tough matches playing at the top spot in the SEC. A handful of losses, I believe.
