Rome QF: Djokovic def. Del Potro 6-3 6-4

Once again Del Pony fails to impress against the big boys. His forehand was horrible today and so was his returns/play on the big points.

Nole did pretty well saving those break points and was not doing too much on his shots keeping the UE number pretty low.

Probably a next Djokovic-Federer clash.

Re: Rome QF: Djokovic def D.Potro 6-3 6-4

Del Potro doesn't have much to hurt Djokovic with, his power CC shots (not much angled) just suits so well to Nole's counter punching skills, preserving him energy for his own attacks. On the other hand his defense is not that good to endure more than a couple of well placed attacking shots coming from Djokovic. Also weak second serves just begs to be attacked and Djokovic knows how to do it, and occasional short low bounced balls make Juan to get out of his comfort zone. Really it just takes from Novak to play a little bit above his average level for this to be a nightmare match up for Del Potro. He doesn't even need to use slices or net sneaking which would expose Del Pony weaknesses even further.

Never in doubt.

Now Djoker has a good chance to consolidate his position as world #2 claycourter.

Convincing performance from Djokovic, even if he got a little tight in the end. Del Potro's game is so boring.

Re: Rome QF: Djokovic def D.Potro 6-3 6-4

Djokovic is on the road to defend his title... he only lost 15 games since the beginning of the tournament...

we'll see if Nadal is doing better ^^

Now, Federer/Djokovic? advantage Djoko for sure.

Rafael Nadal is the king.

1 Australian open, 4 Roland garros, 1 Wimbledon... what's next?

36 TITLES

Ce gars est juste phénoméNadal...

Nole was playing below his abilities, but nonetheless he seemed to be quite comfortable (although again from time to time that heavy breading). Del Potro has a long path before him but he is talented. He took 1 break and 7 games. Thats quite good.
