what no poll?

whoever wins might have to play twice tomorrow (rain???)

so im thinking gasquet will lose because he cant see himself winning two matches in one day so he wont bother...

gasquet should win with conditions the way they are. he generally goes well against fellow frenchies too.

difficult one to call Richie is still in a slump but Jo never seems to play on clay and favours faster surfaces

I think Tsonga might take this

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Re: WWW Rome R1: (9) Tsonga VS. Gasquet?

Well, I think it is better for Gasquet that the match is first on today. Had they started at around midnight last night, I could have envisaged him being a "drama queen" and playing like he couldn't care less. Hope he got a good amount of sleep, and wasn't asked to hang around the grounds until that late...

Anyway, certainly an interesting contest. Gasquet SHOULD win, if only because he is the more suited to clay, but the surface does look to be playing quite fast, so Tsonga shouldn't be too disadvantaged by the conditions, and he is certainly the mentally stronger player. Have to side with mental strength, so Tsonga.
