Outdoor tennis doomed?

As the global warming already wreaks havoc in the planetary climate, and will keep doing so, what will happen with outdoor tennis in the following decade or two? Since we can safely expect that our favorite tennis venues will become more and more unsuitable for outdoor events heavily dependent on nice weather.

Will they build (or adapt) tennis centers in such a way that ALL the courts are roofed? Or will they move the events to less rainy latitudes? Or will they gradually switch to more indoor tennis? Your thoughts.

Getting your excuses in before Djokovic loses.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Outdoor tennis doomed?

What about other outdoor sports?
I think the first sports to be doomed are those snow-related ones like skiing?

Outdoor tennis is the least of our concerns, THE WORLD IS DOOMED!!!

God is unhappy with the way we've treated our planet. Noah will have to build another Ark.

Yes, it does - in the chain of events triggered by the global warming.

Also, rain isn't the only problem, but also excessive heat.

Re: Outdoor tennis doomed?

We dont know nearly as much about global warming as the media portrays. Safe to say, if it does do what some predict the future of outdoor tennis will be the least of anyone's worries.

I love all aspects of TENNIS.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).
