Even if I was a Saulnier fan watching that match, I would laugh so hard.

Re: Biggest choke ever?

Haha, in WTA, Kurhajcova lost to Lisa Raymond after leading 6-0 5-0 (30-0). She lost 0-6 7-5 6-3...

Re: Biggest choke ever?

WTA isn't tennis.

Saulnier served for the match 3 times as well.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I think Feldman meant in general.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Biggest choke ever?

Gasquet's choke against Gonzo at this years AO also deserves to be mentioned, well not as the biggest of course, but as a damn fun one.

Calleri has plenty of them.

That's interesting that Koubek who hasn't been a master of comebacks and dramatic wins, won the two most amazing matches (the best of three - Calleri, and the best of five - Saulnier) among active players. The only one with similar results -> Nieminen:
- Roland Garros 2003: was losing to Varlet (!) 1-6 1-6 1:4 (mini MP), to win 1-6 1-6 7-6(4) 6-2 6-4
- Basel 2007: was losing to Ginepri 1:5 in the third set, to win 3-6 6-4 7-5
In both matches saved one MP (on return in both cases).

Re: Biggest choke ever?

Obviously there are several player who cameback from double break in the decider (in this thread Monfils and Zverev have been mentioned), but none of them won a match like Koubek and Nieminen, completely out of nowhere in five sets.
