Should Federer man up and play at Queens this year?

Well, should he rock up at Queens and go where most of the competition goes and try and get into Nadals head by beating him on the faster grass and for once in his life carry some momentum into a Wimbledon final..

Or should he continue to play in the B event at Halle and enjoy an easy ride to the final to play an inform and match fit Nadal?

Stop hiding I say.

Halle. The ATP is doing plenty to ensure the top guys run into each other: 13 compulsories, and even the optional list now micromanaged. And it's better theatre if the top two don't collide before the prize fight: keeps the big day more special.

Re: Should Federer man up and play at Queens this year?

since I have nothing better to do right now let me give you some facts:

1- what makes Halle a "B event"? they are both 250 series with the same prize money, players are free to choose whatever tournament they play between them, usually players prefer tournaments they can speak their language/close to their hometown and thats two reasons why Federer choose Germany.

2- Halle's surface (slow grass) is closer to Wimbledon than Queen's (fast grass), therefore the reasonable choice is to play Halle as a warm up for Wimbly.

3- Federer has been competing in Halle before anyone even heard of the name Nadal, you should question why Nadal choose to play at Queen's rather than come to the tournament Federer ALREADY plays in and wins every year.

hope this makes enough sense to you

The only thing Queens has going for it is proximity to Wimbledon. Other than that, Federer should play where he wants to, as should Nadal. If one wants to play the other, they know they can. I think both would rather win the respective titles and make sure to head into Wimbledon on a winning streak.

FITD Titles:

TT Singles:
Champion: 2009: Como CH; 2010: Napoli CH; 2011: French Open

Re: Should Federer man up and play at Queens this year?

This year we will see Tsonga and Djokovic at Halle too so he will have some competition. But Federer always plays at Halle,he already confirmed for this year so i don`t think anything will change in the future.Federer loves playing in Germany and the court speed is similar to Wimbledon.

Yh Halle are set for a stronger field this year, and to be honest it is up to the players where they want to go, if roger wants to play Halle, then fair play to him and same with Rafa.

Nadull is probably embarrassed to show his face up in Halle after being humiliated by Waske the only time he played there.

Schweni

Lahm

Kroos :fuck you:

Faterer has a very close friendship with the organizers there, he loves Halle and they go out of their way to make this stay this way.

Sharapova, Jankovic, Zvonareva, Kirilenko, Vesnina, Dokic, Bacsinszky, Jovanovski, Pironkova

No, cos if he loses against someone at Queens, he's got another "confidence issue" excuse why he will fail at Wimbledon again.

Re: Should Federer man up and play at Queens this year?

No why the hell should he? Just because Nadal won Queen's last year and Wimbly doesn't mean that he is the new King of Grass and that Federer should follow him around to show that he can beat him on grass. Federer has already shown that. Additionally, Halle has always been Federer's choice since God knows when, long before Rafa started winning grass matches. Silly thread.

I say yes. But i dont know if its a question of manning up lol. I seriously doubt if Roger is scared of Rafa on grass.
