Post What happened to El Aynaoui

He was playing well on the tour last year. Is he injured? Or is he retired?

It was already a miracle that he was still competitive last year at his age, his activity has been patchy for years, I guess if his body allows it he may try one more time in some clay tourneys (obviously). Keep on eye on Tanger challenger next week just to be sure.

Dont know, maybe injured would have most likely heard something if he had retired to be honest

Just looking at the scoreline of his last match, first round Orleans challenger (indoor) when he retired when leading 6-4 6-6 (probably during in the TB), you can already make the assumption that something bad happened there, a retirement like that strongly suggests a serious injury.
