Survival match for Pics. Glad he's through. Those 2 aces - 7 DF's ratio must improve next match though.

Melzer 4-1** up in the tiebreak. Pics had two second serves. Pics won it 7-4.

The fighter prevails over the choker.

Ferru
he was 4-1 down in TB, and won next 6 points

How Melzer lost this I'll never know.

Actually it's because he's an utter fuckwit and a choking prick. Someone with his game should never lose to Ferrer indoors.

Wasn't he also a break up in the second set?

No.

He was a break down then broke back to love, then got broken to love then broke back again to love or something like that. He was 2 points from victory at 6-5 30a.

I can't even remember any more. They exchanged a hell of a lot of breaks in the 2nd set. I think Ferru kept breaking then Melzer would break back.

win over Melzer on indoor hard is a good one for Ferru. And a much easier opponent for him in R2.

allways struggling in Rotterdam, but good to see him in the second round. So far most of the big names win their matches

Nalbandian

Escude-Kuerten
Dutch players

Gasquet-Ferrero-Lopez-Mathieu

Nadal-Acasuso-Haas-Youzhny-Berdych-Gonzalez-Tursunov

Söderling-Del Potro-Bellucci-Lapentti-Roddick-Verdasco
