Very, very, very solid game by Capdeville. Good serving, not too many UEs, he even made two shots in a row with a frame of a racket which went in (at least it looked like that on TV screen).

Gimeno has worse returns than Isner. Standing in the Falkland Islands to return doesn't help.

His forehand is huge but he's too far behind the baseline to do anything with it most of the time. His backhand is terrible. He can hit a decent slice occasionally but that's it. It's mostly a kind of punchy shot seemingly without any power or accuracy. Very erratic performance with 22 ue's.

Capdeville was pretty good in fairness. Great depth on his shots throughout including his mishits and desperate defensive blocks.

Paul seems to be playing well lately if you discard his first round loss in the Australian Open Qualifying.

The jet lag + abdominal strain killed him.

Good one Paul, now beat "Mr. Viña" Cuevas

Yes, he made quite a few stupid errors. I wonder if he got an overhead in at all apart from out. Also he had opportunities to break in the final game, which could have turned the match, it seems he is not the mentally strongest player in these clutch moments. I do think he can play better though, for example around April-July 2008 he was playing very well.
