the thread is still there, nobody seemed interested in that one- do you want me to bump it for any particular reason?

yeah, also Donald Budge won the calendar slam
**
this list is just for players who have won 3+ diff slams in the Open Era, amazingly both Laver & Rosewall achieved the feat twice [as amateurs pre 68 & as pros post 68]

#Rod Laver & Andre Agassi are the only 2 players to win all 4 diff slams in the Open Era

Andre, won all 4 in the 1990's, on 4 different surfaces. When Laver won, 3 out 4 were on grass.

..<>what was Laver supposed to do [not his fault there weren`t hardcourt slams] he won everything on every surface against every opponent in the Amateur Era, Pro Era & Open Era

LAVER is GOAT
*1962 [Amateur Slam: AO, FO, Wimby, USO]
*1967 [Pro Slam: US Pro, French Pro, Wembly Pro, Wimby Pro]
*1969 [Open Slam: AO, FO, Wimby, USO]

I am not saying Laver, could not have won all of them, but just that when he got the slam, it was only 2 surfaces. Andre, got the slam on 4. Today it's really only 3, but rebound ace was different from the decoturf in New York.

Rebound Ace & the Aussie January heat suited Agassi`s game perfectly<> surely he regrets not playing AO in the early years [88--94], he could have won 7 or 8 AO titles if he had been commited from the outset

Agassi and Nadal are the only two who've won 3 different slams on 3different surfaces.

Agassi won a 4th different slam.

Nadal holds his 3 titles simultaneously.

Wilander won the same slam both on grass and on Rebound Ace, then another on hardcourt and 3 on clay.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
