One Slam Down,Three To Go

What great tennis we have had over the two weeks of the Australian Open. All I can say now is bring on the French Open.Last night Mens Final had everything, superb tennis, great rivalry and friendship and in the trophy presentation emotional outbursts that you dont very often see men displaying in the public eye.I wouldnt class myself as a Feds Fan but, last night my heart really went out to him and lying back in bed I felt his deep unhappiness of losing such a momentous match especially to him, with his love of breaking records.Watching that match last night, especially the trophy presentation Feds proved he is not a machine but, human after all.Glad Rafa won but,the champ Roger is Rafa will have to be at his best next match once again to beat this truly remarkable sportsperson.A great match to end the tournament and I for one immensely enjoyed it.

Si, si, a great match. I saw the Rafa/Nando semi LIVE and didn't think it could get much better than that. Home in front of the TV for the final, but it was a cracker! Glad Rafa could 'keep on keeping on' to win it.
Would have liked Rafa to be able to celebrate his win more though, than saying 'sorry' to Roger in his speech ... not that Roger was saying 'it's all about me', as he prob. couldn't help the tears, and I really felt sorry for him ... but why not celebrate with gusto this amazing Spanish man who is now a champion on clay, grass and hardcourt? Rafa es el mejore! VAMOS!!

[am also wondering if the Aussie papers will still put Roger on front page instead of Rafa now, but that's another story ...]
