The Joker will have a career comparable to Agassi - it's highly unlikely he'll exceed Agassi's overall achievements. This means The Joker will never be considered the GOAT. An all-time great for sure, but certainly not a GOAT candidate.

Nadal will almost definitely be considered the GOAT by the end of his career. He will have 25+ Grand Slams (15+ of them French Opens) and will have a H2H record with Federer of something like 30-14. Nadal is simply just an amazing player. Sure, he may be "injured", but we've all seen this before. He always comes back stronger than ever. He won 3 Grand Slams the year after he had a "serious" knee injury in 2009. You heard it here first - Nadal will most likely win the calender year Grand Slam in 2013. He's like the Hulk - the more "injured" he gets, the "angrier" he becomes, and the "stronger" he becomes. It's simply ridiculous.

warm regards...

6-2, 6-3, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-0 (and not even finals).

Djokovic needs 12 slams & a gold metal to be the GOAT. I said this earlier.

Perhaps we need a new term. ATG for all time great - separate from the GOAT term.

I don't agree. The 12 additional slams would bring him level at 17 - assuming Fed won't win more - but Fed's statistics off slams are way better, so he needs more of those too.

Is there some troll of the year competition on mtf? This guy looks like he is gonna win. This post is gold trolling.

Re: is djokovic qualified to be n the GOAT discussion

Of course not! Djokovic is definitely an all-time great, but in my opinion, still one tier below the Agassi-McEnroe-Connors-Becker level.
Djokovic will never be in the discussion for GOAT, even Nadal, as great of a player he is, is not in the GOAT debate. It is mainly between Laver, Federer, and Sampras, with Federer having the edge. Djokovic will need to win 10 more Grand Slams, 10 more masters, win more slams besides hardcourt. This will never happen.

Federer. Vika. Hingis.
Venus.

What rivalry? I win all the matches. [Hingis, 1998]

Sampras? Don't get me wrong, he is obviuosly very high on the all time list, I just don't see how he could compare favourably with Federer. Laver did something else, more difficult to compare. Federer and Sampras did much the same thing, only Fed has done more of it, so comparison is easy. Fed has more slams, more WTFs, more Masters, more titles, more weeks as #1, more places won (FO), better stretches (like 10 straight finals, 65 grass matches etc.) etc. Pete has a sixth year-end #1, otherwise he is beat or equaled everywhere. Or did I forget anything?

So, if Federer is not the GOAT (and he isn't), who is?

A question for everyone here admitting Roger is not the GOAT.
Who is the GOAT? And what speaks in that man's favour?

Q. Do you think you would have been able to play as well as you played today, or you think you would have pulled out from the game if it wasn't the Masters Cup final?

ROGER FEDERER: No, Roger Federer doesn't pull out. Otherwise he doesn't walk on court (smiling).

After losing to Nalbandian in 2005 TMC final...

There is no GOAT. Only one that has a shot in the future is Rafa, but he needs to build up his resume.
