Roddick's draw was the only thing that put him this far. Good tennis from Fed!!

A tennis match that was pleasurable to watch, a rarity in this day and age of the artless game.

Even though he lost in straights, I like what I saw from Roddick, especially in those last two sets. Aggresive returns, backhand down the line approaches, his movement was awesome, and epic serving to save bps.

Some more time with Stefanki and Andy'll be fine for 2009.

Roger, meanwhile, looked stellar.

Some great stats in the end, Roger was just too good, raised his game, when needed.

Does Roddick have to abuse the umpires all the time?

Gobble, gobble, gobble.

Comfortable win for Fed.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Roddick played well. Served well.

Unfortunately it wasn't good enough, but IMO, roddick is a much improved player.

Re: AO SF: Federer def. Roddick 6-2, 7-5, 7-5

Roddick fought very hard and gave it his all which is all you can ask for. He played a little more aggressive in the final two sets as he otherwise would have gotten creamed like he did in the first set. Federer is just too good but maybe this will force Roddick to become more aggressive with the groundies. His net approaches were sometimes atrocious and he had a huge mental brain cramp when serving at 5-5 deuce in the 3rd set.

I guess Roddick must be the greatest player to ever play the game.

Better then the Djork match a year ago!

Roger picks up some more points for the year.
