he lacked confidence? The only possibility was that he was a bit weary of the hard courts, but still that didn't show with some excellent shots he made. He didn't have many problems, considering that of simon's, so there's not much to moan about IMO. A win is a win and 1 against a player ranked #7 in the world is no mean feat. Federer had his off day against Berdych and this was probably Nadal's.
