AO R3: Gonzalez def. Gasquet 3-6, 3-6, 7-6(10), 6-2, 12-10

after Gasquet lost that tie-break, it was NEVER in doubt, brilliant play from Gonzalez in the last 3 sets especially 5th Richard seemed to struggle physically toward the end.

what a great match though, even from Gasquet, the way he saved the first match point at 10-11 with a whipping forehand winner and screaming like a lion, his heart was all in it

Gasquet stats:
1st serve %: 64%
Aces: 11
W/UE: 80/58
break pts won: 6/14
net points won: 76/99
total points won: 191

Gonzalez stats:
1st serve %: 69%
Aces: 14
W/UE: 85/51
break pts won: 6/14
net points won: 33/49
total points won: 191

nice and tired fro Nadal :/...

I thought gasquet would fold in the 5th but he actually wasted multiple break points...

Chileans going insane, setting off flares

Great effort from Gonzo, surprising amount of fight from Gasquet but an expected loss once it got tight.

Fantastic match, too bad Gasquet couldn't finish it off, enough chances.

Where are those haters now, who think Gasquet has a terrible forehand?

Never in doubt... yeah right. U are such a tool.

Disgusting result. Gasquet was so much more deserving this last set. He won more points, had to serve with pressure all the time. Disgusting

Story of Richie's life, losing matches he was about to win in straights. At least this time no one can accuse him of playing gutless.

I almost pissed myself with this one.

Great match!! Great display, both exhausted and with physical problems in the 5th set.

Gonzo won by just having more guts, as always.

165 winners in the match.

Both won 191 points.

Amazing final set, especially last 7 games.
